沖縄に自生している月桃を収穫し、繊維作りから制作まで全て手作業でおこなっております。

ショップ名のSun-ning(さんにん)は沖縄の言葉で月桃という意味。

月桃(げっとう)とは？
ショウガ科ハナミョウガ属（アルピニア属）の多年草。 熱帯から亜熱帯アジアに分布し、日本では沖縄県から九州南部に分布。

Our Commitment to Quality
I was captivated by the simple beauty of shell ginger when I first encountered shell ginger crafts during a trip to Taiwan. Inspired, I began creating shell ginger accessories in 2018.
We harvest wild-growing shell ginger in Okinawa and handle every step of the process by hand, from fiber extraction to final production.

The store name “Sun-ning” means “shell ginger” in the Okinawan language.
