月桃(げっとう)とは？
ショウガ科ハナミョウガ属（アルピニア属）の多年草。 熱帯から亜熱帯アジアに分布し、日本では沖縄県から九州南部に分布。

About Sun-ning

I create accessories using the stems of Gettou (Shell Ginger), a plant native to Okinawa, with the hope of bringing harmony with nature into everyday life.
Each piece is designed to feel like a gentle talisman — something that softly brightens your day.

The shop name “Sun-ning” (pronounced san-nin) means Gettou in the Okinawan language.

What is Gettou?
Gettou (Alpinia zerumbet) is a perennial herb in the ginger family, native to tropical and subtropical Asia.
In Japan, it grows mainly in Okinawa and the southern parts of Kyushu.
